“Museum Sunday” returns on October 4: free admission to all of Trieste's municipal museums
The Civic Museums of Trieste are once again participating in #domenicalmuseo, the Ministry of Culture’s initiative that offers free admission to cultural sites on the first Sunday of every month.
The initiative applies to visits to the Civic Museums that normally require an admission fee, namely the Revoltella Museum, the Castle of San Giusto, the Carlo Schmidl Theater Museum, the Diego de Henriquez Museum of War for Peace, and the Natural History Museum.
Please also note that, starting this weekend, visitors can explore the new exhibition at the Museum of Istrian, Fiuman, and Dalmatian Civilization at Magazzino 26, as well as the new section dedicated to the “Trieste” bathyscaphe at the Diego de Henriquez Museum of War for Peace.
Free admission is available year-round for visits to the following museums: the Maritime Museum, the Museum of Oriental Art, the Sartorio Museum, the J.J. Winckelmann Museum of Antiquities, the Risiera di San Sabba, the Basovizza Foiba Documentation Center, the Museum of the Risorgimento and Oberdan Memorial, LETS Letteratura Trieste, and the Piccolomineo Petrarch Museum, as well as the temporary exhibitions held in the exhibition halls of Magazzino 26.
